Summary:
The rhumatological pain is a frequent consultation motive for acupuncture. This study is interested in studying an appropriate standard protocol for a majority of patients.
The points have been carefully chose according to the teaching issued from the Tests. They are Shenmai (UB 62), Houxi (SI 3), Waiguan (TW 5), Zulinqi (GB 1) and the Huatuojiaji. Preliminarily, the pain symptom is analysed in the context of the traditional Chinese medicine integrating the notions of perverse energy (wei) with the concept of the Yang energetic levels of the great meridians.
Seventy cases, concerning the most often met pains in town practice, have allowed to evaluate the treatment effectiveness. The results objectified a total failure of the protocol in only 10 % of the cases.
