Conclusion

 Lors des traumatismes de moelle épinière, les dernières études expérimentales suggèrent une efficacité dans la régénération axonale de la thérapeutique associant électroacupuncture et transplant de cellules souches de moelle osseuse. Mais même si ces études expérimentales se rapportant au raisonnement physiopathologique basé sur le mécanisme d’action identifié (figure 6) semblent favorables à la récupération, il faudra nécessairement avoir recours aux essais cliniques randomisés de haute qualité méthodologique pour affirmer leur bénéfice dans les séquelles de traumatismes vertébro-médullaires permettant de retrouver une certaine autonomie fonctionnelle compatible avec les activités de vie quotidienne.
